Edward Clyde Ainsworth Jr.

Edward Clyde Ainsworth, Jr., 19 was Killed in the Line of Duty on 15 January 1926. He was one of three CHFCo Firefighters who died as a result of injuries received when the fire engine on which they were responding to an alarm, skidded and overturned. Five others were also injured in the accident. Also killed were CHFCo Members David Hook, 20 and Alfred Ogden, 20. Edward Ainsworth's. name is placed on the DVFA Firemen's Memorial located in Dover, Delaware. "The Monument is a recognition of the Firefighters of the State of Delaware who have lost their lives in the line of duty."
