Lynn M. Truitt is a Past President of the CH Fire Co. (1999-2000) (2002-2003) (2005-2006) (2010-2011) (2013) and a Life Member of the CHFCo. (2013). She was elected and served as the President of the "New Castle County (DE) Volunteer Firefighter's Association" in 2009, becoming the first woman in the history of the NCCVFA to hold this position.
