CHFCo. Members Attain Water Rescue Technician Certification

Tuesday, December 10, 2019
Eight of our members went at Gunpowder Falls State park working on attaining their Swift Water Rescue Technician. This will add significant trained staff when we respond for water rescue call outs. Training was run along with Hockessin Fire Co., Elsmere Fire Co. and Christiana Fire Co., through Atlantic Technical Rescue. We have become more involved with the New Castle County Special Operations beyond Hazardous Materials responses, including swift water rescue responses. We have several members with varying rescue specialties.
