Motor Vehicle Collision (MVC) with Entrapment: Lancaster Pike (Rt-48) and Old Wilmington Road

On 23 March 2015 at 22:40 hours, the Cranston Heights Fire Company (Station-14) along with a New Castle County Advanced Life Support (ALS) Unit (Medic-7) and the Delaware State Police Helicopter (Trooper-4) were dispatched for a Motor Vehicle Collision with Entrapment on Lancaster Pike (Rt-48) at Loveville Road. CHFCo. Fire Chief Jon Sokira (14-8) was the first to arrive on-scene and reported a change in the incident location to Lancaster Pike (Rt-48) at Old Wilmington Road. Chief Sokira also reported the "Heavy Entrapment" of two (2) individuals within one of the vehicles. His report, added the Hockessin FC (Station-19) for Rescue-19 and a Basic Life Support (BLS) Unit (A-19). A total of four (4) BLS Units and two (2) ALS Units, with Paramedic Command, were committed to this Incident. (Hitchens)
