Shortly after 3:30PM the Cranston Height Fire Company was alerted to assist the Hockessin Fire Company with a report of a fire in a private dwelling in the 2000 block of Brackenville Road. Engine 14-3 responded with a crew of 6 under the command of Assistant Chief Joshua Hawk and arrived as the second due engine. The crew from 14-3 established a supply line and advanced an attack line from Engine 19-5 to the interior and Assistant Chief Hawk was assigned to serve as the operations officer. Crew assisted with extinguishing fire in several rooms and preformed a primary search, which proved to be negative. Crews operated for just over an hour before being released by the incident commander.
