Multi-Residential Fire: Woodlawn Park Apartments

On February 13, 2013 at 22:08 hrs Cranston Heights Fire Company was dispatched for a multi residential fire in the Woodland Apartments Complex with a report of apartment on fire. Engine 142 responded with an in house crew of 5 Commanded by 2nd Asst. Chief (Josh Hawk). Upon arrival of Deputy 14 (Jon Sokira) he reported a 2 story end of the row unit fully involved. 142 arrived and immediately placed a 2” hand line in service and started fire attack. The next due engine assisted with establishing a water supply. Units from Elsmere and Minquas deployed additional 2” handlines and assisted with the primary searches. The fire was held to the single unit. The situation was placed under control at 22:48hrs, and 14 units returned to service by 24:00hrs .The fire is being investigated by the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office. Other assisting units R-14, 16-5, R-16, 23-5, R-23, 21-7, 21-6, 17-5, L-17, 28-6 (RIT), FM-21, B19, ALS 22, ALS 30, Medic 7.
